In that year, Frank Rosenthal who ran the Stardust Casino in Nevada brought about a powerful law. He had good connections and convinced them to include the sportsbooks under casinos. From the moment that casinos began incorporating sportsbooks, Turf Clubs were no longer able to survive. All of them eventually closed down. This is how the modern sportsbook came to existence.
